V2V Reduce Disk

Hi, I perform Virtual to Virtual migration ( vmware 5.0 to vmware 5.1)

I would like to reduce the disk capacity of VMs, but vcenter converter doesn't had this feature like physical 2 virtual migration

I would like to know how I can do it.

Hello,

in Data to Copy section you should chose "Select Volumes to Copy" for Data copy type ... then you can set appropriate size for your disks.

so do I need to download the VMs files to my PC & then convert the files with reducing the VMDK files.

Hi,

just point converter to the source VM on network and at point chose "Select Volumes to Copy" for Data copy type ...then reduce disks as you wish.
