The phenomenon you describe sounds like a known bug in VIN 2.0 ("out of range") .
In order to be sure that it is, I'd like to ask you to send me the VIN engine.log (or the full support package).
Thank you for checking this post out! How would you like me to send the tgz file? If possiible, I would rather not post the file publicly since i have not had a chance to review the files contained in the bundle.

Looks like we have support on our VIN until the end of September, if I am reading the information on the license portal correctly. So I actually opened a support ticket....the case number is 1470191604. I am uploading the support bundle right now.
