Latest update broke bridged mode for me - Windows 8.1 / VMware Workstation 10.0.2-build1744117

Yesterday, I opened up VMware and was prompted to update it so I chose to do so. However, I noticed that right afterwards, both of my VMs which were using Bridged Mode as their network adapter settings suddenly dropped their network connectivity. I've tried switching to NAT and then back to bridged, and it just won't pick up an IP from DHCP. They both only work with NAT now.

I've also tried to "Restore Default Settings" in the Virtual Network Editor, but this didn't help.

Any suggestions? Running Windows 8.1 Enterprise (64-bit) with the latest version of VMware at the moment.

Nevermind. Just fixed this by removing VMnet0 in the Virtual Network Editor, applying the settings, and then re-adding it.

Hi altjx,

Sorry that you encountered this issue.

Would you please provide more info for us to better improve our products?

1. Which version did you upgrade from?

2. What's the OS of the VMs?

3. Did you upgrade the VMtools in guest after the upgrade?

Thanks!

Xinda
