We have just released a small app we use internally as a VMware fling, and wanted to share this with you all.
This application verifies the correct installation and operation of the View Horizon Real-Time Audio-Video functionality. It provides a player that displays the “virtual webcam” feed, and also loops back the audio if required. This allows for testing without a third party app (which often requires user accounts such as Skype, WebEx, etc.). The application can also perform load testing by forcing the video and audio stream to continuously run again, without a third party app dropping the call after a period of time. The application can be run without needing to be installed and so it can be a very quick and easy way to validate that the camera, microphone, speakers and virtual webcam are working correctly.

Hope you find it useful!

Can you also release a Linux version? i am having a hard time getting RTAV working on Ubuntu 12.04 i386
so you can use the test app in your windows vm machine this will verify end to end operation
on your local linux machine the only thing to verify is that the audio and video devices are working correctly in the os. so for this I used "cheese", although there are other similar applications out there,
assuming they are working, but rtav isnt working end to end, then pls upload the client logs and i can try and offer some advice.
cheers
