Trying to play old VM in player

Hello -- I have an old VM probably  created by workstation v6 -- When I start it in Player (v6) it reports that the policies are too old -- can the vmx file be modified this get this to run?

Please take a look at  http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2034362 for how to make the VM work with the new version.
