Hi,
it is a pain to update vCenter with Heartbeat. Everytime something goes wrong.
This time, the VUM is not registered with the vcenter fqdn. It is using the local hostname instead.
OK, i thought i could Change it with using the VMware vSphere Update Manager Utility.
Run the exe and reregister the update Manager. But the issue remains.
Because i am using own certificate, i get a warning every time i open the update Manager. Is there any Chance to Change to the fqdn?

VMware KB: Changing the vCenter Update Manager IP address and preserving the Update Manager setup
Might be worth a shot, no clue how it would behave in a heartbeat setup though, so better have a back up at hand
Basically you will not look for the IP but rather the host name in that file.
Hi,
thanks, I have changed the certificate so that the hostnames, vcenter name and ip addresses are also included.
Today, I check the function of the update manager.
