Kaspersky for Virtualization

Hi, we are currently in the midst of a Kaspersky for Virtualization POC and I have seen a few criticism here on the forums browsing around. Just wondering what specifically users don't like about the solution and if they were using KSV 2.0 or 3.0? We were mainly interested in it for simplicity of managing endpoints both virtual and physical along with FDE of laptops. Does Trend offer the same single console approach?

Thanks for any info.

RUN AWAY from Kaspersky. You've been warned.

We ran it for a year. The product is total garbage and the tech support is non existent. They don't pick up the phone (ever). You submit a ticket online and they wont respond for weeks or months, usually with a response like "Have you tried rebooting?"...no I'm not kidding.

So then you turn to the forums for support, where the Russian programmers who built the software will help troubleshoot and create random "custom" hotfixes for your system. It is a total nightmare and I highly suggest you avoid them at all costs. Their own documentation is conflicting and poorly constructed.

Needless to say we didn't renew our subscription (it ended about 6 months ago) and moved to Trend Micro Deep Security and could not be happier. It is a far superior product. Don't do it man I warned you. Dont take my word for it spend some time online and you'll see all the complains about support (or lack of).

Thanks for the suggestion. We demoed both Kaspersky and Trend both with limited success. We had random lockups on VMs protected by both. We dedicated a few servers to test the protection, would get random lockups, move the user to a different (non protected) host and they would be fine. Tried to troubleshoot with both Kaspersky and Trend and got nowhere.
