When i check my vCAC appliance in the services Tab i see that iaas-service says failed as shown in the below screen capture.
When i try loading the Endpoints tab in the vCAC portal it says 503 error. Anyone knows how to fix this?
I ended up reinstalling the IaaS server. it was a new setup and i was stuck with this issue. Due to time constraint i had to go ahead with re-installation.
Thank you for your response.
what do you see in the vCAC log?
in the appliance /var/log/vmware/vcac
Yup. This is what i found.
Hi,
The Appliance needs to be able to access the IaaS server. This seems to timeout in your case.
try browsing the [URL]/wapi/api/status you should get HTTP 200 and some json response
if this works try to browse the IaaS from the appliance itself with a command like:
wget [IaaSURL]/wapi/api/status

Thank you for your response.
hello ,
I also faced the same issue every now and then it get failed.. with restart of DEM-W service , it is again registered.
But this is still surprising that why IAAS-SERVICE everytime fails.

Restarting the DEM worker would not do much good to the WAPI being unavailable. Can you please review the logs on the IaaS web server. If there is something wrong you should be seeing exceptions there.
