Hello, I'm evaluating Workspace and I'm trying to get the thinapps deployed. I already captured a thinkapp and checked the "make avaliable for application manager". I can't seem to figure out how to entitle users to the think app so when they login to gateway-va, they can see the thinapp. I'm a bit confused as to which server is the workspace admin tool which contains the dashboard so I can access the catalogs tab. from the connector page I clicked on login to horizon view. I enter in the user that I used for my binddn and it attempts to go to gateway-va/SAAS/authenticatedUserDispatcher.do but the page is blank. I'd appreicate any help on this. Thank You. I have synced the apps and enabled the module already.
ok, so I started looking at the reviewer guide and it seems like it's the service-va but when I go to https://service-va... it says page can't be displayed
well, got one step further . I went to gateway-va/admin and page is just blank on SAAS/prepareSignon.do
Hi.. I'm not sure where you are in you deployment.. But here's some tips.
1. ThinApp entitlements is only possible once you have configured a ThinApp repository. You specify the ThinApp repository using the connector-va. You access the admin interface using https://Connector_FQDN:8443 using the password you specified during configurator web based setup.
2. One the ThinApp repository been synced you managed entitlement from the admin portal: https://gateway_FQDN/admin using your BindDN username and password.
In order for ThinApp packages to be Horizon Workspace enabled you must have activated Horizon Management on your packages. Have you done this?
I'm at the point where I'm trying to get to https://gateway_FQDN/admin and it authenticates me but the page does not display anything, it's a clear blank page. It's at https://gateway_FQDN/SAAS/authenticatedUserDispatcher.do. it just stays there
Have you walked through the configurator web wizard?
Yes, I have done all that..
Another thing , I have noticed is that when I log into gateway-va and put my credentials and then click on view desktops, I see my desktop but I get a invalid SAML credentials when it tries to connect. I enabled SAML in View and add gateway-va, not sure if it's related
Not sure what's wrong then. After completion of the configurator web wizard you should be able to login using the gateway_URL. Perhaps you should start all over again.. Delete the vApp and deploy a new one..
Hang-on.. So you are able to login to Workspace? Are you loging in as the BindDN user? If so you should be able to access /admin to manage entitlements..
What about the connector? HAve you configured and synced ThinApp packages?
If I login to gateway-va without putting /admin it takes me to what an end user would see, that is, applications and view desktops. If I put /admin after it it hangs at that clear screen I mentioned above. my connector says thinApp Packages Sync has been enabled
I wonder if it's related to this https://communities.vmware.com/message/2292275
Are you able to login at https://horizon-fqdn/SAAS/login/0 ?
it was related to that hotfix http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=206179...
