I am planning to convert SQL2008 server from Hyper-V to vSphere.
The application supplier set SQL native backup on Server itself for 4 days. DB is 10GB. So 40GB sits in VM. I am not resposible for a backup. So don't ask questions 
Ideally, I want to do SQL backup out of SQL VM (to network location) and then to out of site storage.
SQL VM will be taken with PHD Backup.
I would like to know how you organize SQL server backup to make it optimal.
Another question, when doing backup with PHD I believe it is capable to backup just changed chunks of mdf and ldf files.
