Following on from my earlier post and a lot of discussion this end, we are looking at installing vCenter into multiple existing geographically dispersed VMware-based sites but Linked Mode is out. So I need something solid and robust that will manage - if possible - multiple stand-alone vCenters from a single-pane-of-glass view. I've just looked at the Boomerang fling and whilst interesting isn't what I want. Linked mode-type visibility without the 'Linked', if you will. Do VMware do anything like that or is there a 3rd-party tool that will do it? I've spent a lot of time with Mr Google but he hasn't helped much and so I turn to the collective wisdom of you lot.
