Just curious to if this can be done. I know in all the documentation it talks about NPIV can be setup however it only with RDM's. With that said I can't seem to find any real good information if it is possible to use NPIV to map a virtual fiber connection to a VM.
The purpose of this is we are trying to visualize one of our file servers however it is quiet large 3TB+ and transferring this across the network will just take to long so we where hoping to find a way to get a direct connection to the tape drive ./ virtual tape library.
Any advice would be greatly appropriated.
