So i have a 2010 13" MacBook pro with OS X Lion (which is my main computer). And have VMware Fusion 5.0.3 running Windows 7 Ultimate. Everything runs smoothly besides the internet. I can not get it to connect to my wifi whatsoever. I've tried "Share With Mac", "Bridged-Auto Detect", & "Bridged-WIFI", & "Custom-Private to Mac" (as you can see in the picture i've attached...
I can not get it to connect to internet on the Windows 7 portion at all. It doesn't show a WIFI icon in the taskbar, only the wired connection icon. I've tried restarting Windows after everytime i've changed it, and also restarting OS X. I am pretty knowledgable when it comes to computers but i am very new to Fusion (Been using it for an hour or 2 now) so i am not too familiar with it. I've tried searching the internet for help with this issue but couldn't find any. I was thinking it could be that Windows needs a driver to run the wifi but i really don't see how that's possible. If anyone could help me at all, i would really appreciate it. If you need to ask me any questions that may help you understand my set-up a little bit more, please, feel free to do so.
I hope to hear back from some of you soon with some solutions to help me fix this problem. Thank you guys in advance!
I actually found a solution after searching through some web pages! For future reference, if anyone has the same problem, this is what i did...
Update the Windows network adapter in Device Manager:
Worked perfectally for me, and i'm now able to connect to the internet!
And this is the web page that i found the solution...

You don't actually connect to the wireless network inside a virtual machine. Fusion simulates a wired network connection.
You may need to reboot the VM after changing the network configuration in order to get it to work.
I had already found a solution that fixed it. As you can see in the post i had before yours.
I tried your method. It did not work for me, and what is step "e"
These are the ethernet controllers. Which one is it. email me. wyckoffh@gmail.com

Look in the linked VMware KB Article shown in the OP (and reposted here).
Have a look at: Troubleshooting networking and internet connection issues in VMware Fusion (1016466)

Windows 7 uses the Intel(R) Pro/1000 MT Network Connection.
Okay so this is what I did AND IT WORKED!
as you can see it shows the "internet explorer cannot display the webpage" which i assume you all get when you try browsing:
well what I did was clicked NETWORK ADAPTOR on that settings toolbar on the window...
mine was set to HOST-ONLY so i just tried changing to BRIDGED(AUTODETECT)...
it may take a couple seconds for it to connect so be patient.. when the icon is ticked and the internet connection icon at the bottom right-hand corner of the window
is clear (showing no [red x]), it should be done!
either refresh your page or type in any web address... and voila!
hope it helps! God Bless
@JesusisLord : this worked for me, thanks
