Getting hard disk information with CIM?

I'm messing about with CIM and PowerCLI (based on this blog post - http://www.virtu-al.net/2012/10/29/using-powershell-v3-0-cim-cmdlets-with-vmware-esxi-hosts/)

I was wondering if anyone had tried getting hard drive information with it?  Particularly in relation to the RAID configuration.  I'm not sure it's possible unless the manufacturer of the RAID controller has exposed their CIM classes.

As a matter of fact Alan and myself talked about this during our presentation at VMworld 2013.

Let me dig up that info

I can list the LUNs seen by the ESXi, but I haven't succeeded (yet) in extracting any RAID configuration info.

I'll keep looking.

In the mean time, try the attached script, it should return the LUN info for the ESXi.

I'm curious if the HW vendor you are using provides all the info.

Note that the script requires at least PowerShell v3 (no need to have PowerCLI installed).
