Hello,
I recently noticed viewing my Vcenter services status and found the following alerts as can be seen in attached image:
I can understand and ignore the 'warning' message for Ldap domain because our vcenter is working as standalone and not a member of any windows domain. So, this is ignoreable, coming to rest two alerts:
- Assignments feeding service ?
- VSphere profile-driven storage service
While reading on internet found KB from vmware 'VMware KB: vCenter Service status reports red alerts and warnings after the vCenter Server FQDN is c...', is this the solution to my problem ? It requires me to modify value data in registry as well, so, I just need to be sure if this is the right thing to attempt OR there is some else in which we can look to get rid of these alerts.
We are running vmware essentials plus kit license on two hosts and one virtual vcenter
Waiting for response and ideas for this.
Thanks,
What vCenter version are you running on? You may want to check the below KB articles:
VMware KB: Alerts are displayed in vCenter service status after upgrading to vCenter Server 5.x
VMware KB: vCenter Service Status page alerts: Unable to retrieve health status
Hello,
we are using vCenter 5.0 build 913577 and this version is from the time since we build our virtual environment last year. We directly installed vCenter 5.0 no upgrade from previous edition.
Any ideas ?
Thanks,
Do you have the vSphere Web client installed on the same server as vCenter? If yes, set the web client service to delayed start and restart the system.
Yes this will also help.....
