Migrating View Composer and vCenter

Hi, everyone,

For various reasons, I need to migrate my vCenter installation to a new host with a new IP address and hostname. Unfortunately, we have a large number of View pools with linked clones, and VMware's documentation (and technical support) indicate that it's necessary to recreate the pool configurations by hand, pointing to the new vCenter server. The amount of effort and risk this entails seems extreme, so I wondering if other people have found a better solution or workaround.

I have moved this discussion from VMware® Horizon™ View Bootcamp to VMware® Horizon View™

The vCenter instance is referenced in every pool config and throughout the ADAM database.   I think it would be much cleaner to recreate the pools referencing the new vCenter instance as support has suggested.
