Wow, what a list.

Thanks for sharing that tools, however most of them is for ESX not ESXi though.

I've also tested VIMA and VKCA they both didn;t work without the vCentre server.

Hi Albert,

JFYI: The VKernel stuff will work with ESXi. In the shops that I've consulted at, we had to leverage Virtual Center to get metrics out of it, but it was pretty useful. Hope this helps.

Excellent list!

Here is one more I just released: DoubleCloud Proxy, which can intercept messages between vSphere Client and vCenter/ESX, and generate code (Java for the moment and more coming) for you. It's a great tool for your automating your vSphere infrastructure.

In free VMware tools you can use very limited features, to use advanced and extra ordinary features you have to purchase paid tools. Many company provides paid tools with trial version for testing purpose.
