VMware Horizon View Client 2.1 crash during connecting to desktop pool

Upon updating to Horizon View Client to version 2.1 from 2.0, every time I try to connect to the desktop pool after logging in to the connection server, it stays on the "connecting..." message for a bit before it crashes. This has been the case regardless of which connection server I use. Are there any others who is having this similar issue with the new OS X client version?

Hi solgae,

From your scenarios on USB issue, the issue may come from agent desktop, you can try to reset agent desktop and re-connect it again.

Thanks,

Brian Yu

Not sure why I need to provide networking information? I do not have a connectivity issue when connecting to my desktop.

I attached the output anyway while running the view client connected to the desktop, except the iptables and route tables - iptables is not present on OS X, and routing table is displayed using netstat -nr in OS X.

Hi zhanglin999,

I seem to have the same issue, client 2.1 crashed when connecting to the desktop. 2.0 worked.

2.1 worked as soon as I updated the  libpcoip_client.dylib.

The new 2.2 version comes with a popup 'Alert Start remote session failed'

Please let me know if I can be of any assistance.

mories,

Replacing libpcoip_client.dylib will work with the 2.2 client as well. Apparently, the fix didn't made it to the 2.2 client.

Hello solgae,

Thanks for your network log.

Yes, this patch hasn't been included in 2.2 and we are trying to have it in 2.3 before we throughly know the exact cause.

Thanks for your patience and support.

Hello mories,

Could you kindly help us to collect logs when this issue reproduces? Thanks in advance.

1. Please clean the log directory "~/Library/Logs/VMware/" and "~/Library/Logs/VMware Horizon View Client/" first.

2. Add following two lines into "~/Library/Preferences/VMware Fusion/config", if this file doesn't exist, you can create it by yourself:

log.stderrMinLevel = 145

log.logMinLevel = 145

3. Attached the log files in  "~/Library/Logs/VMware/" and  "~/Library/Logs/VMware Horizon View Client/"
