I've been trawling through the community pages and the knowledge base articles, but none of them seem to answer quite the question I have.
Basically, I recently installed Windows 8.1 Enterprise edition as a new virtual machine, using Fusion 6.0.2 on my 15" retina macbook pro running Mavericks, running it in single window mode. But whatever I try, I just can't seem to get around the fact that Windows is scaled up from 1280 x 768 by 200%, and attempting to increase the resolution results in the edges of the Windows screen going outside the boundaries of the screen.
In the virtual machine library settings, I've enabled 'Use full resolution for Retina display', and unchecked 'Automatically adjust user interface size in Windows' as was recommended in steps 1 and 2 of this communities post: Re: Fusion 6, Retina and Display Resolution - Can I disable "auto fit"?. But when I subsequently tried to follow steps 3 and 4, there was no change - whatever resolution I choose, VMWare or Windows scales it by 200%.
Has anyone else had similar issues / found a solution to this?
Did you find a solution for this? I'm going to need my LASIK redone just to use Windows 8 without an external monitor.
