Hello I need move vCenter(5.0 Update 2) to new server with database to different data center where IP will change and DNS will remain same. What steps are involved beside backup and restore vcenter database and install vcenter on the new server ?

Yes follow all the steps that are mentioned in the KB article so it does not cause any issues
we can backup ADAM from the old server. At what stage I should restore ADAM to new server ? after installing virtual center on new server ?
You need to do it after you move the vCenter database. Follow the KB Article. Its all given step wise.
