Yes, unfortunately VMware Converter doesn't support current Acronis TrueImage versions.
Thanks Andre. I am failing at this project. I am trying to find a way to easily run acronis .tib images as Virtual Machines on the fly with my Windows 7 computer.
If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it. Obviously having to convert the file to use it in a virtual environment is not the best method for the purposes of accessing it for a short period of time. Actually I do have one image I want to convert and use daily as well so either way I need to figure this and the short term use issue out.
If you still need to convert the image to a VM you can try the following:
- Create an empty VM with enough disk space to accommodate the Acronis image
- Boot it with the Acronis restore software and restore the image inside it.
- Run Converter, select the Configure Machine wizard and point it to the newly created VM. Converter will try to make the VM bootable in a virtual environment.
