This is how vsphere-ui is working. It will show only those objects that your VC users have read permissions upon.

Are you asking about  vsphere-ui or custom-ui?

I'm talking about vphere-ui.  Although the DBAs can only manage those servers that I've given them permissions to in the vSphere client, they can see all objects in vCenter in vsphere-ui.

This means DBA have read permissions for all objects in vSphere client.

VCOps restricts visibility based on the read permissions in the VC. If you want your DBA not to see all objects remove the read permission from the "restricted" objects in the VC.

Thank you hank-ger, that was exactly it. opsmanager adds those two permissions and they are not marked automatically.
