Using default Update Manager Baselines

I'm looking to get an idea of when the default baselines that come with VUM are NOT sufficient.  Do the default "critical patches" and "non-critical patches" baselines work in most scenarios?  When would the makeup of these baselines need to be changed from the defaults?

Default baselines patches gets downloaded by update manager during the download schedule and are updated from VMware.It need not be changed until the download job is running regularly.
