Hi,
we're running VCDirector 1.5.
We would like to limit our clients in vApp network creation (and possibly in vApp creation too). Is there any feature that we could use during org creation (1 client = 1 org, and client is the admin of his org) to reach this goal?
Thank you
Regards,
Raffaello
Here, found the solution - this kind of limit has to be set at vDC level, not only at Org level.
Thank you IamTHEvilONE, you put me in the right direction.

About the only thing you can do is limit the number if Isolated Networks each Organization vDC can create.
This is in the Properties of the Org vDC ... Network Pools ... Set the number of Isolated networks there.
Note, each instance of the following network type will consume 1 isolated network:
1. vApp Network
2. Org Routed
3. Org Isolated
Well.. THIS is the problem: I need to limit ALL the nets, because any of the previous (vApp, routed and isolated) consumes a vlan. I can limit the last 2, but, as far as you write, I can't limit the vApp ones?
What type of network pool did you create? It sounds like vLAN backed ... why not use Cloud Network Isolation? you'll get 1000 networks per VLAN (aka Pool).
We created 2 pools, 2k networks, managed by 2 nexus1000, in a active/stand-by configuration.
With more than 100 customer in the cloud, if any of them decides to create 10 vApp net (they have assigned 2 net by default, 1 isolated and 1 routed) we quickly go out of vlans (better to say "vxlan")
Here, found the solution - this kind of limit has to be set at vDC level, not only at Org level.
Thank you IamTHEvilONE, you put me in the right direction.
