Welcome to the Community - First thing I would check is connectovety to the vcenter database - confirming ODBC configuration, database is accessible etc.

Thanks.

I have verified ODBC connectivity and there is successful connection.

Thanks

Take a look at the SSO configuration. Login as admin@System-Domain and test the connection.

Did you change the Domain Controller info from SSO recently? Also, Just in case, double check the SSL certificates if they are good or expired.

I beleive this is related to SSO config.

Is the service stuck in a "starting" state?

Do you have a very large active directory environment?

<snip>

Unable to create SSO facade: Invalid response code: 404 Not Found

</snip>

1. Is this is the appliance or the Windows based Virtual Center - I am guessing Virtual Center (windows) but would be good to confirm

2. Are all VC services installed on the same machine (vpxd/Inventory Service/SSO)?

3. If not, can you restart the SSO > Inventory Service > Virtual Center machine in order and test? If same machine, just restart the VC machine

4. If this is the applicance, reboot the appliance and check?

Thanks

Had this issue not long ago and ended up being the certificates. You can try to re-generate the certificates.

Hey,

Just checking if you are still facing the issue and if the previous suggestions helped?

Hi.  Nothing worked from above.  I ended up uninstalling vCenter altogether and re-installing and all is well.  Thanks.

I had a similar problem when I renamed the host. I just renamed it back, rebooted and it came back up without issue.

I had the web.XML file from another similar vcenter and copied it into the affected one and restarted SSO service. It worked like a charm.
