Some things to check...

What database are you using?

Is your ODBC DSN set up correctly/working?

Is there any info in the stats.log? (Errors?)

I use SQL 2008 R2 Express.

The DSN is ready, details to file dsn.jpg.

I found an error to stats.log (sql browser is not up). After control, SQL Browser and SQL agent server agent is disabled. I change the service to automatic and i restart the vcenter server.

After this no error to stats.log but when i start the vcenter server always the same problem.

When i start the server i have this message to windows events :

The description for Event ID 1000 from source VMware VirtualCenter Server cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

Log directory: C:\ProgramData\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter\Logs.

the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table

Are there any errors to be found in the vpxd log?

So, you can connect to vCenter server, but you still can't see any performance data, am I understanding you correct?

Hi.

I use the Express Version and the SQL Server Agent is not available to this version. Note Vmware :

Note: SQL express does not have an SQL Server Agent so does not have the jobs listed

When i start the service SQL Server Agent it's stopped automatically.

To db i have a procedures listed...

Vcenter.jpg

Sorry, î'm not a specialist of SQL..
