Hi Guys,
I have a VM which is in powered off state in vSphere but the server installed on it is pinging and also able to connect remotely (RDP).
just want to know what could be the problem and how to fix it.

Have you tried restarting the management agents on the host to see if VM state is then detected properly? http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1003490
