Replace vCenter 5.0 with vCenter 3.5

Hello,

I have several 3.5 hosts. All connected to vCenter 5.0. For some reason I need to reconnect this host to  vCenter 3.5. Do you know if there is known problems with this action? For sure I need to delete ha agent on this host. Do I need to do something more?

Regards.

Uninstalling the vpxa and aam agents should be more than enough. Have you made any changes to the /etc/hosts? If so, modify the same as well. Also what about the VM's running on the hosts? Have VMware tools or hardware versions been updated or are they running with the 3.5 version of tools and virtual hardware?

Hi..

You have to remove HA & vCenter Agent from your ESX 3.5 hosts. once you add your ESX 3.5 host to vCenter 3.5, it will again push both agents on ESX hosts.

Here is KB link to remove HA & vCenter agents..

Thanks
