is ctrl-alt-del customizable for workstation 7 ?

Hello All,

I am using VMware Workstation 7 upon my windows 7 system.

I have several VMs runing on it and i frequently need to use the favourite ctl-alt-del keys.

The vmware alternate for doing this is ctl-alt-insert. However, in my Asus laptop, the delete and Insert are on the same single key (toggled with fn key)

So, everytime i want to ctl-alt-del, even if i have to use the vmware alternate - ctl-alt-insert, i end up sending this event to my host OS and not to the guest.

Is there any solution to customize the ctl-alt-del behavior in workstation so that i can choose some other keys to send this event ?

Thanks in advance

Some alternatives are to send Ctrl-Alt-Del from the VM menu or using the hotkey combo Alt-M-E when the Host has focus with a windowed Virtual Machine in the foreground.

I am at a public terminal so I could be off the mark here.  In the program global  settings (I believe its under the edit tab) the might be a setting to change the key shortcut for control al ctrl-alt-delet.  If there is not there should be but ...   With access to WS you should be able to find that out immediately.  ays  another storm is cominig so have no idea when I'll be able to confirm this myself on my own systems.

VMware Workstation 7 Hot Key Preferences (as show in the image below),  or any settings within the GUI, do not cover modifying Ctrl-Alt-Del.  I presented an alternative in Re: is ctrl-alt-del customizable for workstation 7 ?.   Also, if there is a way via a manual edit of the config, preferences or vmx file I haven't seen it and it is in all likelihood hard-coded.
