How to verify/confirm host cache is active?

I have enabled host cache settings in both vCenter and View. I see digest files are created for Replica and linked clones.

I am running the command "esxcli sched system swap get" from the ESXi host an it says "Hostcache Active: false". Many desktops are running on the host and not sure why this command always shows Hostcache Active is false..

Not sure but maybe that references the swap to host cache, http://www.yellow-bricks.com/2011/08/18/swap-to-host-cache-aka-swap-to-ssd/, and not the Storage accelerator of View, http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-19439.
