vSphere 4.1 - Cross Reference Hardening Spreadsheet

Hi all,

This may have been answered before but I was unable to find anything so putting out to the Community.

I am doing a hardening review of a client's vSphere 4.1 Infrastructure and was wondering the following;

1) Is there a hardening tracking spreadsheet (Official VMware or 3rd party) for vSphere 4.1 similar to what exists for vSphere 5?  it would save me a lot of time and effort in cutting/pasting/formatting from the hardening document.

2) Does anyone know where I can find the/a cross reference document highlighting the differences in hardening v4 and v4.1.  I found a link online pointing to this site, but the page/article has been deleted.

About 4.0 vs 4.1, I have this document. Will it help you? But I'm not sure that this comparing is for last "4.1" version.

Yes, that link was exactly what I was after for Point 1 so thank you very much!

On point 2, there was a reference document written by a member here which detailed the hardening differences between 4 and 4.1 but it's been deleted.  Thanks for your link, I actually found a later version of that document on here, which ties is nicely with the spreadsheet you directed me to in Point 1.

I'll post the original exteral thread that now points to the dead link on here and see if anyone knows where else it may be.  At a different machine at the moment and can't recall the other members name either who originally wrote it.
