Hi All,
I am working on virtualizing Oracle ECM solution with the below functions.
Oracle DB
Web Center Content
Web cCenter Portal
Oracle Web Tier
MGMT & Backup Solution for Oracle
Need guidance to virtualize the above solution. Like, need pros and cons, licensing and support from Oracle for the above functions, best hw for Oracle solutions, any best practices will be really helpful.
Thanks for your time and guidance.

This post looks identical to the one you have posted here: http://communities.vmware.com/message/2145570. I don't think you're going to get any more responses by posting consecutive messages to the same forum.
Moderators: please delete this discussion as it adds no value and just clutters up the forum.

Simon,
I am not that dumb to think you wouldn't notice this post. This post is a new post for other experts other than you to notice it and try to help me in building a datacenter solution in a faster manner.
And the same thing which I posted in my earlier post is just for you as you are the only one who wer actively participating in replying\commenting in it.
If you are not interested and don't have anything to guide me with correct information, you could very well stay away from my post.
By the way, I am not here to earn points by posting topics.
And as you replied to my new post, I guess I am enough competent to implement solution on my own. But forums helps us to understand if the same sort of a solution is already been implementing using VMware, getting help from them is no harm.
Try to be a teacher, not a master. And learn how to communicate. Certain words of your are very rude.
Thanks for your time in commenting my

I am sorry that you feel I was being unduly rude in my other reply to you - this wasn't my intention. I am simply pointing out that if you post very general questions you are not going to get very specific or probably useful answers. E.g. Does running Oracle WebCenter on a virtualised platform run more slowly than physical? Probably, if you were comparing like for like (there's extra processing to be done whichever way you look at it) but that's a really hard comparison to do - e.g. physical hosts have dedicated hardware but that may or may not impact the performance as it depends on your system requirements (you might have 10 concurrent users and a very small number of documents in UCM, or you might have 10,000 users and 100,000,000 documents). Plus virtualisation provides lots of benefits so of course it's a trade off.
Anyway, as requested I'll leave it to others to respond now.

Hi Simon,
Don't be sorry. All I look for here is good guidance like the one which you have given above. And I didn't mean this is only for other, but the same has been asked separately in my previous post.
By the way, thanks for the above clarification. Looking forward for more interactions in this forum.
