I am still using vMA 4.1 in an otherwise all 5.1 environment. This and the APC UPS script are working just fine on vMA 4.1 and ESXi 5.1 hosts. Seemed the path of lesser resistance then upgrade to vMA 5.1.
Good suggestion, that's my fallback, at least for the weekend.
I also forgot to mention that I'm getting the following error in the ghettoVCBg2 log:
10-12-2012 17:14:32 -- debug: Main: Login by vi-fastpass to: host.domain.local
10-12-2012 17:14:40 -- warn: Unable to login to: host.domain.local - maybe offline or unreachable - skipping
This is only from Cron, running from the command line results in a sucessful backup.
I'll add that to the original question too..
I had the same problem in 5.1.
Add the following to your wrapper script/head of crontab
Thank you minerat, that did the trick. I had to add it into the head of the crontab, it wouldn't work from the wrapper script, but now the crontab entries run correctly. Thanks a ton, i was pulling out hair over this one.
It won't let me mark any post "Correct" for some reason but I'll figure that out and mark yours.
Thanks again for the help.
