disk alignment in ESXi

Hi,

I have been reading in all forums that creating a datastore using vSphere aligns automatically the datastore to the SAN LUN. However, I have not seen it in any "official" vmware document such as white paper or best practices.... Therefore, it would be great if someone could tell me where can I find such as statement.

With ESXi 5.0 Aligment is automatically take care..
