I recently did a fresh install of ESXi 5.1 and the server is not seeing my Intel PRO/1000 PT Quad Port LP NIC. This NIC was working perfectly fine when the server had ESi 5.0 Update 1 installed. I did verify that the NIC is on the compatability list for 5.1. Is anyone else having this problem?
Edit: The card is installed on a Dell PE R510. The onboard Broadcom NICs are working.

hi ITHugo,
Welcome to the communites.
As per my experience it most probably NIC seems faulty .
I will suggest instead of wasting time please replace that NIC .
.juan11,
The NIC works great if I re-install ESXi 5.0 Update back onto the machine. It is onlyl when I install 5.1 that the NIC is no longer found by ESXi.
i have same problem

Using the 5.0 drivers worked for me as well. Thanks Dev0704!
