Multiple objects of same name

In vCops Custom UI, I'm setting up some applications and I noticed I have multiple resources of the same Name.

In the "Edit Application" view, under List, I have objects with the same "Name", "Identifier 1" and "Identifier 3"

The "Identifier 2" field is what is unique - "vm-1353", "vm-1357"

I know, in the two instances I found, that I had to rebuild the VM for one reason or another.

vCenter and everything else looks OK.

Where is this coming from?  Should I be concerned?

Thanks

Each VM you created (the old VM and the rebuild) have a different MoRef so vC Ops considers that a unique object.  Nothing to be concerned about.

Here's a good reference for MoRef and when it changes...

So will these stale MoRefs go away eventually?

Not by default.  There is a way to do this with 5.0.1 but I would recommend you contact support for help with this if it is something you must do - otherwise it's not a big problem unless your DB is just huge and you have a great number of these types of objects and want to clean them up.
