I've had a couple of internal conversations and read through the Certification pages for this, but please don't take what I'm saying as an official VMware response.
There are two paths to achieve the VCP-Cloud certification as per this page: http://mylearn.vmware.com/mgrReg/plan.cfm?plan=32558&ui=www_cert
1. If you are a VCP5 holder (now named VCP5-DV), you take the VCP-IaaS exam.
2. If you are not a VCP5 holder, you take the VCP-Cloud exam when it becomes available, the content will be a combination of the VCP5-DV and VCP-IaaS exams.
The way it's been explained to me, VCP-Cloud will be the only certification title going forward, VCP-IaaS will be the exam that VCP5 holders can take to achieve VCP-Cloud (path 1 above).
Does that make sense?
That makes perfect sense. Thanks for the insight, Scott!
