Error after datastore removed from vCenter

So we lost a datastore from vCenter, which was configured for use by vCD.

When we go into vCD to remove it, the following error comes up.

The vSphere object DATASTORE:datastore-57 on win-vcenter(com.vmware.vcloud.entity.vimserver:2c0b0b3d-5982-4ef5-8b7d-09b9532cd273) is unknown to VCD.

I have tried 'reconnecting' the vCenter instance, but it doesn't seem to help.

Can anyone advise how to resolve this?

Thanks,
Alex

So what you saying is you have removed the failed datastore from VC completely and it's not being removed in vCloud Director? You might have to remove the entries from your vCloud Director database directly.

Yeah, thats pretty much what's happened. The datastores have gone from vCenter, but we didn't get a chance to clean them out of vCD.

Don't like the sound of having to dig about in the database... Smiley Sad

Apologies if this thread is too old to be writing on. But, I'm having the same problem and could really use some advice on how to remove the object references from the vCD database. Any help would be great.

Thanks!
