Disapearing Migration and clone options.

We have 3 ESC 3.0.1 servers set up here that are all using the same SAN.  I have noticed that sometimes when I login to one of them through the VIC, the migration and clone options are available but most of the time they are not.  We are always using the same login. 

Anybody else run into this?

The migrate and clone feature's are available with vCenter.  If you are logging directly into the host, then you should not see these options.

Is there no way to do it via the command line?

yes if you use powercli, connect to vsphere

not if you are using esx cli conencting to the host

So then I am basically S.O.L. for doing any kind of migration or cloning.

Here is the thing though, At one point the options did show up connecting to the ESX server using VIC.  When I logged in again with VIC (same server) they were gone.
