VMWare Tools for Mac

Hi,

I have just downloaded Workstation 8.03 and I have installed a Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4.

I am having some problems with Mouse click and Hover in Netbeans and Inltellij Idea. In my Snow Leopard machine everythign works OK.

I proesume that the problem is the VMWare Tools. Is there a version of VMWare Tolls for mac Lion.

Thanks

If you installed Mac OS X on a non-Apple-branded Hardware Host then what you're doing violates Apple's SLA for that product and is illegal and therefore violates the VMware Community Terms of Use to help you in this use case.  Which effectively makes this the end of the discussion unless you actually installed Mac OS X on Apple-branded Hardware under VMware Fusion or ESXi, in which case help could be provided.

I'd suggest you read my reply Re: VMWare Tools for Mac as discussing how to fix an issue with Mac OS X when run under VMware Workstation is not permitted in this forum!

As per the rules laid out in the Community terms of use and/or the Community Moderator Handbook I am locking this discussion.

As Woody already explained, the forum is not meant to be for used on tips with breaking the EULA you have with apple and VMware.

Update after discussing this thread with other moderators.

This thread will remain locked, as it has a potentially legal issue which is not in sync with the terms that you as a user of the VMware forums has abided to follow when signing up for the forum. The problem here is however that we -moderators of the forum- are not lawyers and that EULA's like the one from apple which demands its OS to be run on Apple Hardware and the EULA from VMware that states that OS X at the moment can only run virtualised within Fusion and vSphere 5 can be changed at any moment in time.

If you do believe that discussing the details that you'd like to discuss are legal within the USA (the law practised here is where the main servers are located) then we suggest you to send a pm and have your lawyer look over the exact details. We are open to debate to unlock the thread if no legal issues apply.

edit: wila update with more details on reasoning of locking the post.
