Hi!
I'd like to connect to a running ESXi server using Internet and vSphere Client.
To do this I've just forwarded TCP 443 (HTTPS) port on the router to the internal ESXi server.
Than, from my office (outside the ESXi location) I've tryed to connect to the ESXi server using vSphere Client and - obviously - the static IP address of the ADSL router to wich is connected the ESXi.
But I Can't connect to the server.
Are there other ports that are needed to forwarded on the router in order to connect to the server or is there any other setting on the ESXi server itself to allow the remote connection?
Thanks in advance.
Hello,
Have you tried using your browser to connect to your ESXi host? also you might need to do the same for the port 80 as well or better change the port 80 on your esxi to the 8080 for example so that you wont land on your routers HTTP page when connecting from outside
Hi mouradb,
Thanks for your reply.
Have you tried using your browser to connect to your ESXi host?
Yes, but I can't connect to remote ESXi by web browser.
Asap I'll go physically on the network where the ESXi is installed and re-check all networks/router settings.
I' ll share with you all the results.
