vCenter - Events as a SNMP Trap?

Hi,

I am able to send SNMP traps from my alarms but I would like to forward ALL EVENTS as a SNMP Trap from vCenter server. Is it possible somehow?

Thanks

Martin

From your vCenter Server (Administration-vCenter Server Settings-SNMP) you can configure the SNMP receivers.  From there, your alarm triggers can be setup to "send a notification traps"

Check out the VMWARE-VC-EVENT-MIB mib file.

This is what I would like to audit; All Events on the whole topology.

Or maybe access the database itself for such data? (they are anyway saved into the DB...)

I have not used this before, but it may be worth looking into

This one looks good, but we are using mostly Linux as a management systems and heterogenous infrastructure is not a good choice for use 😕 Any other hint regarding this one? Has someone of you dig through the VC database itself?
