Moved to the ESXi forum area from the VCP area.
Delete all will delete all the snapshots which have been made for that VM.
Delete will only delete a selected snapshot made for that VM.
Delete will delete a particular snapshot for a VM leaving the other snaphots, delete all will delete all the snapshots for the VM.
How it commit the snapshort
You can consolidate the snapshot in ESXi 5 if that is what you mean.
Deleting the snapshot does commit it. Have a look at the following:
both delete and delete all options are used to commit the snapshort.
i want to know how to comminit snapshort works.
I suggest reading http://www.pcclm.com/2012/02/virtual-machine-snapshots-in-vmware.html and watching the KB video from VMware http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=rj8ugLrmU-M.
slight later one from Duncan with the changes to delete all mechanism: http://www.yellow-bricks.com/2010/07/05/changes-to-snapshot-mechanism-delete-all/
