Recompose not all vm's use the new Snapshot

Hello

I have a new problem with view 4.5...

We use a floating pool with 200 windows xp.

When i take a new snapshot and assign this snapshot for recompose in the view manager some vm's are recomposed to the new snapshot and other vm's recompose but rest on the old snapshot.

Have anyone the same problem? Have someone a idea why some vm's rest on the old snapshot?

Best regards

Simon

Does it showing them all as using the new snapshot under Pools -> Specific Pool -> Inventory -> Desktops (View Composer Details) -> Image column?

Hi

No under the Pools -> Specific Pool -> Inventory -> Desktops (View Composer Details) some vms i have selectet for a new snapshot still show the old snapshot.

I think that some vms are not correctly recomposed. I think that the problem only occous with vms that are peoples connected at the moment i add the new snapshot for recompose.

Best regards

Simon

All you should have to do is run the recompose job again (or refresh).  This can occur when the user was never logged off, I'd use the "force logoff" if it continues to be a problem.

I'm running into the same issue.

For some reason, when users are already logged into a pool and you schedule a Recompose Task, the logged on machines don't get the new snapshot.  When you do a Refresh on those logged on VMs, the VM refreshes to its previous state which is the older snapshot.

I've tried force log-off with the same results.  The only thing that works is to wait for the users to be logged off, highlight the VMs, and Recompose them separately.

Kind of a pain .. anyone have a workaround for this?

Thanks!
