Hello all!
I installed VMware ESXi 5.0.0 [Releasebuild-469512 x86_64] on Dell R710, added vms and was working for weeks.
When I halt the server to connect to another rack, when the POST, it shows that something happened to the memory of the BIOS and continue without problems.
After that, in the BOOT vmware it shows the error:
NOT_IMPLEMENTED bora/vmkernel/multiboot/ramdisk.c:84
No place on disk to dump data.
ps: The message about the memory BIOS does not appear anymore.
Any ideas?
Hi
Hi, thanks for answer.
I tried boot from Live CD and got this...
#dosfsck -a /dev/disk/by-id/scsi-xxxxx
dosfsck 2.11 12 Mar 2005, FAT32, LFN
Currently, only 1 or 2 FATs are supported, not 251
and
#dosfsck -a /dev/disk/by-id/scsi-xxxxx-part1
dosfsck 2.11 12 Mar 2005, FAT32, LFN
Cluster size is zero
I tried check /dev/by-path and got the same.
Am I right?
1) before you check partition, you have to find it. Output "Currently, only 1 or 2 FATs are supported, not 251" indicated that you tried to check vmfs partition. that is wrong
2) you can find FAT partition by size (~ 250 MB - ~300MB )
Hi, i tried to boot with another Live CD (newer - dosfsck v3).
Hi, If error message remains the same, you can replace files on boot partition from live ESXi install all files except state.tgz. But, i agree, that reinstall will be faster.
Hello, I reinstalled with the option to restore the Datastore.
Everything returned to normal, but only for a day ...
In fact, we detected a hardware error - RAID Controller.
Thank you for your help.
hugs,
