Restore a deleted datastore in Vsphere 5.0

I deleted a data store in the Vsphere client 5.0. How do I restore?

if it is shared storage, go to the configuration tab of the ESXi Host, Storage--Add Storage.  Is it there?

When I go to added it back it gives me an error saying ether the selected disk already has VMSF partion or the host cannot perform the action.

sounds to me like it may be local disk.  See below

Thank you that's it good thing I didnt have anything stored on the virtual server yet will reinstall.
