VMware 8 and 3930k compatibily

Hi guys,

I just wanted to ask, if VMware 8 is able to use whole potential of 3930k cpu. I mean if I am going to stard 5-10 workstations will all 12 threads be used ? Or VMware can use only 6 - 8 - 10 ?

I am asking because I am thinking about upgrading from 2600k.

Thx for information.

The processor should be compatible with VMware Workstation 8. You should be able to use all the 12 threads.

However, do not give all your cores to virtual machines. More cores does not mean better performance. Ensure to keep resources for your host operating system. Smiley Happy
