VMware vSphere 5.0 Open Source?

What am I reading?  VMware vSphere 5.0 Open Source?  Did I miss something?  I understand for device drivers, but for ESXi 5.0 / vSphere?  I would THINK that would be "giving away the farm" and create major revenue and licensing problems.  What am I missing?

The open source package includes driver source as you've mentioned and code for a number of tools and utilities that ESXi utilizes.  It does not include the vmkernel source code.  That remains a closed source product.

Now THAT's believeable.  I would NOT want to see it open source.  I want them guys to make good money so they not only can afford to continue to innovate and produce the best product out there, but also stay motivated to do so.

Thanks tons!
