Hello,

Is this written in PowerShell? Do you have a Perl version?

No, tool doesn't use PowerShell.

It's standalone desktop application. It uses vim API to deploy simple and small agent to the verifiable server. Agent runs Perl scripts to check server state, returns results and uninstalls itself. Results can be stored in HTML reports.

If you need Perl version you can use William Lam script (to run with vMA) or my port of this script for Windows.

But I think that you know about William script Smiley Happy

Hello,

Yes I know about William's Script... The fact that it installs a bit of something is intrigueing and makes me wonder if anyone could hack the path in which it was installed to install something entirely false.... Look at the VASTO package and how it can do things with the vSphere Client.... Does it only check VIM issues or does it do more?

Hello Edward,

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the possibility to hack Compliance Checker.

Thank you for the point about VASTO, I didn't see it before personally.

I'm not sure that I undestand your question about "Does it only check VIM issues or does it do more".

I have attached simple report sample to give your idea about Compliance Checker functionality.

With best regards, Maxim Shulga
