Setting up Final Synchronization and Shutdown Hours after completion

When setting up the scheduled sychronization with the latest VMware Converter standalone, can it be configured to sync hours after the conversion? And when this is setup will the post-conversion settings, such as powering off the VM and installing VMware tools take place as part of the scheduled synchronization time or will it still perform these tasks when the actual conversion completes?

reason being is, I am converting a file server and have a very limited time window for down time. I would like to hot-clone it and have the final synchronization scheduled during my time window, to synchronize, then shutdown the source machine.

If anyone has done this and knows exactly how it would work please let me know.

Thanks!!

Update on this- I gave up using final sync and simply set the conversion job to power on once the job was complete.  After the VM powered on, I shutdown the physical one.

This was not ideal, but it worked for my needs.  Once the VM fires up, I had to login and set the server's static IP and the like.

Thank you all for your help.

I had a similar issue where the tracking driver reported not to start in the converter logs. Starting this manually using

sc start bmdrvr

did not help, the service started but the converter produced the same error.

I was converting an SBS2008 server and found that even though logged in as Admin (the SBS default Administrator account) I got the error.

I fixed this by simply running the converter as Administrator by right clicking the shortcut. I found that the conversion proceeded without error.

Hope this helps anyone else trying to convert and getting the "Unable to start the change tracking driver" error.
